Take The Love Dare

In the 2008 box office hit “Fireproof” a firefighter named Capt Caleb Holt (played by Kirk  Cameron) lives by the old adage “never leave your partner behind.”  However, after 7 years of marriage he must now fight to win back the heart of his wife.    The turning point of the movie is when his dad hands him a special hand-written book.  This book called the LOVE DARE is filled with 40 days worth of practical ideas for Caleb to demonstrate his love to his wife.  Caleb takes the challenge, dares to do the work, and his marriage is better for it.

On February 1, 2009 Grace Community embarked upon a 40 day journey to build relationships and strengthen marriages.  Couples were encouraged to listen to weekly messages and read lessons from the Love Dare, a book available at most.  The messages combine solid Biblical teaching with select movie clips and specific Love Dare challenges.

Fireproof was the #1 inspirational movie in America in 2008, and this resource will bring encouragement and hope to your life.  Every marriage goes through seasons and we all need encouragement to continually love the partners God has given us.  I can tell you from my own experience as well as the experience of dozens of others that if you will APPLY what you are learning you will see great progress in your relationship. 

Love is expressed in actions and the key to progress is taking it one step at a time.  I would encourage you to listen to one message each week (possibly more than once), read one small chapter in the love dare book each day, and take the challenges to the best of your ability.  As you do this I believe that God will renew your love and work on your relationship in new and exciting ways.  May He fill you with love and bless you on this journey.

**The "Fireproof" movie was released on DVD on Tues, Jan 27th and it is available for rental or purchase at most major stores.  "The Love Dare" book may also be purchased at your local Walmart, Christian book store, or online retailer.
